Between competition training, podium climbing and Colorado adventures, it may seem like Birk is always on the move. We wanted to know when and how he starts to wind down one season and ramp up into the next.
"I know winter is coming to an end when all the halfpipe events are over and I can start winding down and skiing some slush."
"In preparation for spring I usually will de-tune the pipe skis throw some hot wax on there and start hitting some rails in the park with a fun crew of skiers."
"The last thing on the list to officially close out winter all together is get the bike out from storage and start pedaling. Only lasts for about a month then the skis are back on."
