Whistler Day 4 or 5 or Something

Monday, December 21st, 2009

With a few days of down time, I have lost track of what day it was of this whistler trip.  Some Avalanche danger kept us grounded and left us with some time to do some urban in Whistler.  We did a drop gap and some other fun stuff for Durtschi Diaries, like this Railroad crossing rail that was really fun. Dan Carr took some sick photos as well.

Durtschi Diaries 4 is gonna be fun, I am gonna film my winter Vacation to Alyeska Resort, the Resort that I grew up skiing and where the pow is deep and the crowds are nowhere to be seen!

I also had a blast in Whistler if you were wondering, and I cannot wait to make a ski segment with the terrain up here, I have graduated from Utah sledding, Oregon Sledding, Tahoe Sledding, Montana Sledding school and am ready to take my sledding skills to the vastness of Whistler backcountry (utterly Endless).

THANKS TO BRANDON KELLY FOR TAKING THESE PHOTOS!

Whistler (Pre-Olympics) Day 2

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Today was snowy yet again, I think that is all it knows how to do here in Whistler, except for that other precipitation related word…(we won’t say it here).  Dan Carr was out with his camera again and Jeff Thomas was there with Poor Boyz to capture the footage. some Saga Blog photos made the front page of PBP website, check them out!

I got to adjust the clickers on my sled, so it actually had torque today, which sounds a bit like a canadian word “touque” which is a word I have been hearing alot while here in Canada.

Well I am gonna stay up here until Christmas, then I will visit with my family, since thats what the holidays are for, luckily I will get to ski on Christmas! This is one of my favorite things to do on Christmas, except last year I stayed inside all day and was very lazy.

Also here is a Picture of the Newschooler advertisements, go to the site to see them in action! Or see them at our Saga Youtube channel and Subscribe!

Whistler (pre-Olympics)

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

I am up in whistler doing some skiing, It is unreal how much snow they have gotten already.  18 feet…. and it is funny because I was here the exact same time last year and there was not enough snow to sled!

So being a thankful person, and being very thankful that it snowed early this year, I have been trying out my new sled and getting far away from civilization, its that time of year again!

Well I am not being a complete hermit, I am skiing with Brandon Kelly, Charlie Ager and taking photographs with Dan Carr. Check out his website, it is SICK!

December Update

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I just bought my plane ticket to France for the Linecatcher event, you can check it out on facebook.  I am really excited to do this contest, I think it will be fun to compete on something other than park Features.  I think some powder is coming our way so I am hoping to ski as much as I can before I transport to France.

Mt. Bachelor was fun today, I hung out with PBP filmer Jeff Thomas look for him skiing, yes, not filming but skiing in Durtschi Diaries! Yea filmers can throw down too, they don’t just sit behind the cameras 180 days a year.
