Saturday, August 28th, 2010Under the Bridge.
Friday, August 6th, 2010Took a trip under the bridge to finally check out the infamous Burnside skatepark. This park was built by skates and is still maintained to this day on the original philosophy of for skaters by skaters. I have to say it was a real trip into history to finally see the concrete transitions that I watched in skate segments years ago. The cracks were deep, the transition rougher and everything more raw in person. I only spent a few minutes walking around the weathered concrete park but I did manage to get a couple photos that show the feel the park has.
All donated matrials and built feature by feature.
At least your under the bridge, rainy day skates are a go.
Surrounded by industry this park stands as symbol of skate history.

Bottle caps.
every corner of the park gets skated .
My favorite picture of the day was the paint cage.
Windell’s Public Day.
Monday, July 12th, 2010We headed to Windells Camp for the Public appreciation Day and Bonfire pipe 2 pipe skate comp. Remember the scene in Caddy Shack when they let the caddies swim in the private pool, yea it was kind of like that. The masses showed up to take advantage of the open campus and get some free skate.
Below (bottom left clockwise) is Aj Dakoulas (4bi9) Tyler Barnes, Sean Harkins (Windells Camp) and my good friend Dan Starr.
Before the crowds showed up for the comp there was open skate in the new cement facility on campus. Side note, it’s amazing!
Erica Durtschi and Brady Perron.
The story about the two dudes below is we all grew up together on the east and are now living our lives out west respectively. Every once in a blue moon we get to meet up for a minute, why not at Windells with bmx bikes.
A view from the top of the new dry slope bag jump, in the back is the new skate facility, Windells is on a take over program.
Dan Starr taking full advantage of public day, hasn’t back-flipped a BMX bike ever so he decided to try it on the big side.
I feel bad when ever I meet up with Steve Steep I always ask him to get a photo of some sort, this one skate. Thanks Steve.
This shred dawg was warming up for the pipe 2 pipe which was crazy though i did not manage to get a photo of it, too much fun? or blowing it?
Percle-ating in the UK
Thursday, May 13th, 2010Jake Percle gives us a quick edit from a weekend on the town in the UK. There is also some snow sport activity in the middle, featuring an indoor slope. Not a bad back flip from Percle in the middle. Enjoy!
Intallation Party
Monday, May 3rd, 2010The other evening I attended a social gathering at the shoe and art gallery known as Installation. This is the shop in downtown Boudler that is run by the same guys that own the Satellite skate and snow shop in town. They have the coolest collections of hats, shoes (in tons of styles you’ve never seen), skullcandy phones, and unique streetwear. All of which is presented in a ever changing all-over-the-store art piece. The most recent is seen here. All cardboard.
They were serving some delicious drinks and had some music bumping, including a live band called Coconut Beach.
