A beautiful day for Freeway

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Yesterday and today have been debatably the best of the season for some park riding. I came up with my buddy Seth to get some sequence shots for a photo competition. I also ran into some other friends, which is quite common on such a day. Myself, Chirs Haggarty, Jake Black, Jake Knigge, and Seth had a long and fun day. Many tens were thrown, a handful of dubs, and the occasional method! Then, Chris and i topped off the day with a few laps at Key under the lights to meet our buddy Jon.

Corduroy morning. Look at that view!!!

Good Times in Grizz

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

The Wasatch is finally looking filled in and we’ve been enjoying some great days in the backcountry recently.  A lot of time has been spent in Grizzly Gulch, hitting some really fun jumps and finding delicious pow stashes.  Today we hit a jump I’ve been looking at all season, and under bluebird skies, hammers were dropped.  It was myself, Witt Foster, and our homie Dale Talkington sending this fun little number, getting shots for the next 4bi9 flick.  Friend and photog Max Webb snapped these epic photos and was kind enough to let me blog ‘em!

Buttering out of some switch pow turns. yummy.

Witt gets real steezy on this cork 7. Stomp.

Kevin Steen, he gets the shot.

Bangers at Breck to be sure.

Eric Willett, a Breck local, lays down some hammers in freeway. Flawless. You can find Eric lapping through the park and lacing together some very entertaining runs. Sometimes when I watch, i’ll sit back in awe, just like all the Texans who gawk behind the fence up top.

Here are some photos from Riley Snyder that were taken during the time I was there and had the opportunity to ride with the local Saga guys. While I was there, we filmed an edit (if you missed it, here’s the link).

This is T Barnes and I doing some ripping.

Here is Riley’s Facebook fanpage for those interested.
