Good Times in Grizz

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

The Wasatch is finally looking filled in and we’ve been enjoying some great days in the backcountry recently.  A lot of time has been spent in Grizzly Gulch, hitting some really fun jumps and finding delicious pow stashes.  Today we hit a jump I’ve been looking at all season, and under bluebird skies, hammers were dropped.  It was myself, Witt Foster, and our homie Dale Talkington sending this fun little number, getting shots for the next 4bi9 flick.  Friend and photog Max Webb snapped these epic photos and was kind enough to let me blog ‘em!

Buttering out of some switch pow turns. yummy.

Witt gets real steezy on this cork 7. Stomp.

Kevin Steen, he gets the shot.

Thermals at the Park

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Jonathan Chandler took some Photos, Tripod Included, of myself wearing some of the new Saga Thermals at the park.

Along with the thermals, I wore my collection of Saga Fitted Hats to match up with the thermals, they come in 3 sizes.

I layered up a couple of these things, they layer nicely.  Swinging is so fun, these swings could have been a bit bigger but they worked out nicely.  I gotta thank Jonathan Chandler for some more of his crisp photography on the Saga Blog.

Boat Ride In Bellingham Bay

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I have been hanging out in Bellingham with Luke Tanaka, trying to ski at Baker…. but the snow is not so good right now (I feel bad for Olympic Organizers right now).  My friend John Love took us out for a booze cruise in Bellingham Bay, and it was just the event to take our minds off the lack of snow.

It was super warm on the water and the sun was out, I bundled up a bit because at our brisk pace of 8 knots we got a bit of wind on theeee decks.

To be honest I did not think a boat ride was going to be an activity I was going to be taking part in during my Winter.  I am gonna go get on some powder real quick because I am getting stoked seeing Wiley out there destroying.

Last time I was here this thing was burning Diesel and keeping the parking lot clear, this time mother nature is taking care of that.

Mcdonald’s in Medieval France

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

During my trip to France, I got to spend some time away from the ski areas.  Julien Regnier (think 1242) and I went to Albertsville… new and old.  The 1992 Olympics were held here, so Mcdonalds being the biggest sponsor of the Olympics… it makes sense that the Mcdonalds here is gonna be next level.

The Medieval part of town is super cool, still a really old feel to it.  Then we went to the most technologically advanced Mcdonalds on the planet.  As you will see in this photo, the seats are better than the bridge on star trek.

Church Time

Old Tower, Julien and I had a discussion about the relation bewteen backcountry jump building and 1400 tower building (look at that bricking style)

Mcdonald’s in France, epic style, food is the same, the experience is other worldly
