A gathering for pizza, Austin, Seo and Freedle.
Middle of Montana.
It has finally been good in Utah and for most this last storm was a much needed change of pace from the typical high pressure sunny skies that have plagued the Wasatch this season. With major events happening else-where this week (SIA and X-games) it was not hard to find good open terrain to get shots, so that is exactly what we did. We spent Tuesday at Alta resort with a handful of Saga riders and AJ from 4Bi9 media. People were hungry for shots and it showed, I know, all this talk and no video clips!? wtf, edit comign soon.
Start Tuesday
“Ahh yea, your going to have to talk to my agent” Dylan and Kiefer waiting for the Wildcat lift to open. At Alta it’s usually all about Wildcat hot lap but with most of the mountain being closed during this past storm the Wildcat lift got hammered, it was time to look for other spots and find the soft stuff.
1 part saga, 1 part 4Bi9 = bangers
Ready, set, go. You can see what happens once a new area gets opened up after a storm.
Start Thursday
Today (Thursday) it was all about the Alta backcountry the famous Grizzly Gulch, omg, “don’t they like film snow movies there”. Being in the BC after a fresh storm is dangerous, I spy a huge crown on Cardiac ridge, wear your transceiver.
The gulch is where backcountry jumping was practically invented, so many features have had a lens on them, recognize this landing?
Dylan sporting his new Patriot bandana. “Today, I’m jumping for Amurica”
Snow on the trees is a favorite of mine.
You can see the feature of the day behind Barnes in this picture, step down cliff sorta deal, you may remember it from such movies as session 1242.
Witt Foster was there to have a good time. From here on out the pictures pretty much explain themselves and everyone left stoked, except maybe Barnes, I think he lost his cell phone in the snow.
Witt goes fivehundred and fourty degrees in rotation.
I know my day would not have been complete without a Witt Foster signature 3.
This shot was taken just before Mox dipped this 3 out of frame, it was quite a large maneuver.
Saga vet, Dylan Natale tees up the “men’s tee” making those Benchetler’s look really cosmic.
Ty Barnes again on the attack with a Right 7.
